Sam won the race from start to finish with two of the best in pursuit. Willoughby snapped out STRONG with Connor Fields (USA) and Tory Nyhaug (CAN) battlin' down the first straight, but coming out of Turn One, it was Sam with Tory hot on his heels. Hard racing followed, with Tory mounting a charge down the third straight, but Sam ran a perfect lap and took the win.

Mariana had to do quite a bit of chasing as Alise Post (USA) RIPPED it out of the gate and was absolutely flying down the first two straights. Coming in to the huge rhythm section in the third straight, Mariana applied her bike handling skills and made up several bike lengths, with a resulting very slight lead going in to the last turn to take the win at the finish line.
